Joining a Community group is the best way to connect with others in the Hope Chapel community, explore and deepen your faith, serve the church, and love your neighbors. These groups of 6 to 15 people meet in apartments and homes throughout Greensboro. They are geographically based in order to foster true community amoung members, and therefore they will be multi-generational.
At Hope Chapel, community groups serve two main purposes:
1. Community building – our prayer is that our community groups are always a place of openness, safety, and caring. These groups provide their members with an opportunity to sharpen one another through prayer and Bible study, and provide a foundation for friendship in the body. They will also be the primary way that we as a church can provide “pastoral” care for one another in times of need.
2. Service – each community group will have the opportunity to serve with Hope Chapel’s “strategic partners” on a monthly basis. These are organizations that Hope Chapel is working with to help serve the city of Greensboro. This is a great way to reach out and help our city!
If you are new to Community groups, we would encourage you to ask people at Hope Chapel about their Community groups, remembering that every person in a Community group was, at one point, uninvolved and perhaps as hesitant to get connected as you may be.
If you would like to get connected with a group or you have further questions, feel free to email our Lead Pastor, Todd Jones at todd@hopechapelgreensboro.org, or simply contact the leader of the group that best suits your location and schedule below (click on the red "thumbtacks" below for more information about each group) .

We encourage you to seek out a group that is close to your home because geographical proximity is central to the formation of community. However, some of you may need to venture away from your own neighborhood in order to find the group that will best suit your schedule.
-Our groups take one week off per month to serve together with one of our strategic partners. If you are planning to attend a group for the first time, please email the group leader before showing up at the usual meeting place to make sure that the group is not involved in a service project that week.
