Hope Chapel believes that church planting is one of the clearest and most effective expressions of the Great Commission. Jesus' command to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:18–20) has shaped our conviction that healthy churches should continually seek to reproduce healthy churches. Rather than viewing church planting as a side ministry, we see it as a natural outworking of faithful discipleship and a primary means by which the gospel advances into new communities.

To pursue this vision, Hope Chapel is committed to a "mother-daughter" model of church planting. We are seeking a gifted pastor who will serve as a Church Planting Resident and Associate Pastor for approximately one to two years before leading the launch of a new congregation. During the residency, the candidate will become deeply involved in the life of Hope Chapel—preaching, shepherding, discipling leaders, and participating in the day-to-day ministry of the church—while receiving intentional mentoring, practical experience, and strategic preparation for the work of church planting.

Our desire is not merely to send out another church, but to cultivate a congregation that reflects the best of what God has entrusted to Hope Chapel. We are looking for a pastor who shares our commitment to the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel, and a distinctly Reformed theological framework. We value biblical elder leadership with meaningful accountability, deep and lifelong discipleship, authentic Christian community, personal pastoral care, and ministry that joins faithful proclamation with compassionate service. We seek to be rooted in the historic practices of the Christian faith while communicating the gospel in ways that are clear, beautiful, and accessible within our contemporary context.

Following the residency, the church planter will lead the formation of a new congregation with the support of Hope Chapel, launching with a core team drawn from both our church family and the surrounding community. Our prayer is that this church will mature into a healthy, self-governing, self-sustaining congregation that faithfully carries these convictions into its own unique ministry context while developing its own leadership and identity.
